Yasutomo Oka is a hyperrealistic painter from Japan. He deals in portraits of women, posed and calm in their quiet beauty.
Though Oka feels that there isn’t much of a place for his work in galleries and the commission money isn’t good, he still continues to paint. He refers to it as his “addiction” and he can’t stop. This is his passion.
You can find more Oka’s fantastic work on his blog. There, you can also learn more about his process as he posts in-progress work as well.
